Cades Cove Primitive Baptist Church Weddings:

Cades Cove is full of majestic mountain views, abundant wildlife and interesting Appalachian history. Part of it's history includes The Primitive Baptist Church. It was built in 1887 and services were regularly held there in to the 1960's. Today, occasional Sunday sermons are held there. The National Park Service still maintains the historic structure and allows couples to hold wedding ceremonies there with the proper permit. This is one of three rustic churches located In Cades Cove. One of Its unique features include the natural wood interior. Look to the plank ceiling closely and you'll notice the hand prints of the people who built it by hand. The primitive baptist church is located about 1/4 of a mile down a gravel road off of the main Cades Cove loop. Couples love this historic church because of it's rustic charm and the ambiance reminding them of a simpler time. Many people ask how there photos will turn out in this church because of the lack of light. Although it does seem dark at the moment you walk inside. Your eyes quickly adjust and photos turn out very well in the Primitive Baptist Church with the proper equipment and techniques. Please note that there is no power, cell phone service or restrooms here. The candles in the image above are battery operated, there are no open flames allowed in the church. We can coordinate the national park permits, minister and photographer for your wedding. Let us know if you have any other question about getting married in the Cades Cove Primitive Baptist Church.
